AscendSpot sends text messages on behalf of the businesses we work with. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. We never sell or share mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties for marketing.
1. Who is sending these messages
AscendSpot LLC ("AscendSpot," "we," "us") operates a review request and customer communication service. We send SMS messages on behalf of our clients, which are home service businesses such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general contracting companies. Messages are sent under the name of the business you did work with.
2. Two different groups of recipients
Customers of our clients
If you recently had work done by a business that uses AscendSpot, you may receive a text asking how the job went and inviting you to leave a Google review. You receive this because you provided your phone number to that business in the course of doing business with them, and that business has a relationship with you.
Business owners who contact us
If you are a business owner who requested information, booked a call, or signed up for a trial, you may receive texts from us about scheduling, setup, and your account.
3. Types of messages you may receive
- Review requests — a message after your service appointment asking about your experience
- A single follow-up reminder if you do not respond to the first message
- Appointment confirmations and reminders where the business uses that feature
- Replies to missed calls so you are not left waiting
- Account and scheduling messages for business owners working with us directly
We do not send unrelated promotional blasts, and we do not send messages on behalf of businesses you have no relationship with.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the business. In a typical case, a customer receives one message after a completed job and at most one follow-up reminder. Business owners in setup may receive messages more frequently during onboarding.
5. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. AscendSpot does not charge you to receive messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you according to your plan. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
6. How to opt out
You can stop messages at any time. Reply STOP to any message you receive. You will get a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further messages from that sender unless you opt back in.
You may also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT, or contact us directly using the details at the bottom of this page and we will remove you.
7. How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at the email or phone number listed below. You can also contact the business that served you directly.
8. Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to carrier and network conditions outside our control.
9. Consent is never a condition of service
Agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from AscendSpot or from any business that uses AscendSpot.
10. Your mobile data is not sold or shared
No mobile information, opt-in data, or consent is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared only with the service providers that make the messaging function work (for example, our messaging infrastructure and telecom providers), and only for that purpose. See our Privacy Policy for details.
11. Supported carriers
Messaging is supported on major U.S. carriers. Carrier support may change without notice.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these SMS terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
