AscendSpot LLC ("AscendSpot," "we," "us," "our") provides a review request and customer communication service to home service businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
We collect what we need to run the service and nothing more. We do not sell your information. We do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties for marketing. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to two groups:
- Business clients — companies that use AscendSpot to request reviews from their customers.
- Customers of our clients — people who receive a message from a business using AscendSpot.
2. Information we collect
From business clients
- Business name, contact name, email address, phone number, and business address
- Your Google Business Profile link and related business details
- Billing information, which is processed by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Account activity, such as when the service was used and what was sent
From customers of our clients
- Name, phone number, and email address, when provided to the business by you
- Appointment or job information supplied by the business, such as when a job was completed
- Your responses to messages, including whether you replied or opted out
Important: we receive customer contact information from our business clients. We do not buy contact lists and we do not collect this information from you directly. The business you did work with is responsible for having a lawful basis to contact you.
From our website
- Information you enter when booking a call or contacting us
- Standard technical information such as browser type, device type, and pages visited
3. How we use information
- To send review requests, reminders, confirmations, and replies on behalf of our clients
- To set up, operate, support, and improve the service
- To communicate with business clients about their account, billing, and support
- To produce reports for our clients about review counts, ratings, and message activity
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not share mobile information, opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- We do not use customer contact information for our own marketing.
- We do not write, buy, or fabricate reviews, and we do not offer anything in exchange for a positive review.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that make the service work, and only to the extent needed. These include:
- Messaging and telecom providers that deliver SMS
- Our customer relationship and automation software provider
- Our payment processor for billing
- Email and scheduling providers
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or sale of assets.
6. How long we keep information
We keep business client account information for as long as the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, and record keeping purposes. We keep customer contact information only as long as needed to provide the service to the client that supplied it. When a client's account ends, their customer data is deleted or returned on request.
7. Your choices and rights
- Opt out of texts — reply STOP to any message. See our SMS Terms.
- Access, correction, or deletion — contact us and we will honor reasonable requests.
- State privacy rights — depending on where you live, you may have rights to know what information is held about you, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are commonly defined, and we will honor verified requests.

8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including access controls and reputable third party providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The service is intended for businesses and their adult customers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third party links
Our messages and pages may link to third party sites such as Google. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted here with a new date.
